Shot Count – Lovesick –

In
this music video I counted a total of 69 shots with the majority of them being
either close ups of the band members or long shots of the car they are in from
a distance. With this genre of music it is expected that a lot of close ups are
in the video, especially of the lead singer because it sells the star image.
The lead singer is the band’s main image and by including a lot of him in the
video it helps the audience get what they want. Most of the shots where
actually quite long and it didn’t seem like there was a fast pace to the song,
even though the song is quite upbeat.
